2 pounds ground beef
1 cup – plain yogurt
1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
3 tbsp – chopped fresh parsley
3 slices whole-wheat bread
3 eggs, beaten
1 tbsp – Worcestershire sauce
1.5 cups – dry bread crumbs
1 cup – canned, deep-fried, dried onions
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp – minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp – ground cumin
1/2 tsp – coarsely crushed coriander seed
4 tbsp – chopped fresh parsley1 large jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
3 cups – vegetable oil, for frying
1/4 tsp – salt
How to make Kebabs Step by Step at home?
Mixing the Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl mix together the yogurt, salt, small jalapeno pepper, and 3 tablespoons chopped parsley. This will be used as the dipping sauce and should be aside.
Next Soak the bread slices in water for 3 minutes. Remove the bread from water, and squeeze out all the excess water.
Crumble the soaked bread into a large bowl. Mix in eggs and the Worcestershire sauce. Mix in dried bread crumbs, fried onions, garlic, ginger, ground cumin, crushed coriander seed, 4 tablespoons parsley, and large jalapeno pepper.
Add ground beef, and work it with the palms of your hands until in with your hands until well mixed.
Roll the mixture with your hands into roundish and long cylindrical balls similar to a piece of chalk but bigger.
Heat 3 cups of oil in a large and deep, heavy-bottomed frying pan over a high source of heat until the oil is hot and ready to use. Drop in one meatball to check if the oil is ready enough. If it immediately sizzles, then it is ready for use.
Deep Frying
Deep fry the meatballs a few at a time or in batches this will help you to maintain the temperature, Deep fry your kebabs until they are brown and crispy, for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Cut through one kebab to check if it is well done and cooked. Remove the rest from oil using a slotted spoon, and place it on a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
